Mother Zam

The Bumbanrad are animals very similar to the elephants that now live in Africa and Asia, despite the fact that they have a much more complex society that our elephants. They are highly matriarchly animals, live in clans with very organized parts. The matriarch make the tattoos in all the members of the clan. The males and females receive the tattoos in the trunk when they are newborns. It's a symbol of which family or clan they belong to. When they are sexual mature, the males are banned from the clan and the females receive the tattoos on the face, symbol of the clan and of belonging to the family structure. When the matriarch feels that she is going to die, the second eldest female receive the tattoos on the ears and the name of Mother, symbol of the power of the family.
During each ten years, all the clans meet each other in the center of the continent, to remember the allies, old enemis, mate with the errant males, and discuss important issues. When the first humanoids arrived in the continent from the ground, no one knows how, the clans made an emergency council and made an agreement with the humanoids. They dont enter each others land and so the agreement goes on.

As Bumbanrad são animais muito parecidos aos elefantes que hoje habitam a África e a Ásia, exceto pelo fato que elas têm uma estrutura social muito mais complexa do que nossos elefantes. São animais altamente matriarcais, vivem em clãs com partes muito organizadas. A matriarca é quem faz as tatuagens em todos os membros do clã. Os machos e fêmeas recebem as da tromba quando acabam de nascer. É um símbolo de qual família ou clã que eles pertencem. Quando atingem a maturidade sexual, os machos são banidos do grupo e as fêmeas recebem as tatuagens na face, símbolo de pertencimento à estrutura familiar. Quando a matriarca sente que seus últimos dias chegaram, a segunda fêmea mais velha recebe tatuagens nas orelhas e o nome de Mãe, símbolo de poder na família.
Durante cada dez anos, todos os clãs se encontram no centro do continente, para relembrar as aliadas, velhas inimigas, acasalar com machos errantes e discutir importantes assuntos. Quando os primeiros humanóides chegaram no continente, vindos do chão, ninguém sabe como, os clãs fizeram um conselho de emergência e fizeram um acordo com os humanóides. Nenhum entraria na terra pertencente ao outro e o acordo ainda segue.
